Speed Up with Quick Actions
Cicero Intern includes a set of Quick Actions—preset commands that handle common tasks with a single click. Instead of typing out requests, you can use these shortcuts to work faster.
The Quick Actions Menu
When you open Cicero Intern, you'll see Quick Actions displayed as clickable buttons. Each one is designed for a specific common task.
Available Quick Actions
Edit
Purpose: Make general improvements to selected text
Select text in your document, then click Edit. Cicero Intern will:
- Improve clarity and flow
- Fix grammatical issues
- Enhance word choice
- Maintain your original meaning
Explain
Purpose: Get an explanation of complex content
Select a difficult passage or technical term, then click Explain. The AI will:
- Break down complex concepts
- Provide definitions
- Offer examples
- Clarify jargon
Draft
Purpose: Generate new content based on context
Click Draft when you need the AI to create new content. It will:
- Analyze your document context
- Generate relevant new sections
- Match your existing tone and style
Purpose: Transform content into email format
Select content and click Email to:
- Convert text into proper email structure
- Add appropriate greeting and closing
- Adjust tone for email communication
- Format for readability
Search
Purpose: Find information on the web
Click Search to trigger a web search. The AI will:
- Ask what you want to find
- Search current web sources
- Return relevant results
- Offer to integrate findings into your document
Summary
Purpose: Condense content into key points
Select text or use on your entire document to:
- Extract main ideas
- Create bullet-point summaries
- Reduce length while preserving meaning
- Generate executive summaries
Improve
Purpose: Enhance the overall quality of text
Similar to Edit but more comprehensive:
- Restructures sentences
- Strengthens arguments
- Adds transitions
- Polishes prose
Fix (plz fix)
Purpose: Quickly correct obvious issues
A casual, quick-fix option that:
- Corrects spelling errors
- Fixes grammatical mistakes
- Resolves formatting issues
- Handles common typos

With Selection
- Select the text you want to act on
- Open Cicero Intern
- Click the appropriate Quick Action
- Review and accept the changes
Without Selection
Some Quick Actions work on your entire document:
- Summary can summarize the whole document
- Search works independently of selection
- Draft generates new content based on document context
Combining Quick Actions
You can use Quick Actions as starting points:
- Click Summary to get a document overview
- Ask follow-up questions based on the summary
- Use Edit on specific sections identified
When to Use Quick Actions vs. Custom Prompts
Use Quick Actions when:
- You have a common, straightforward task
- You want the fastest possible workflow
- The preset action matches your need
Use custom prompts when:
- You have specific requirements
- You need to combine multiple actions
- You want more control over the output
Quick Actions and Context
Quick Actions automatically consider:
- Your selected text (if any)
- The surrounding document content
- The type of block you're in
- Your previous conversation
This context awareness means Quick Actions produce relevant results even with minimal input.
Keyboard Workflow
For maximum speed:
- Use keyboard shortcuts to select text
- Press the AI button shortcut
- Click a Quick Action
- Use keyboard shortcuts to accept/reject
