Keyboard Shortcuts

Many toolbar actions have keyboard shortcuts for faster access:

ItalicCtrl/Cmd + I
UnderlineCtrl/Cmd + U
UndoCtrl/Cmd + Z
RedoCtrl/Cmd + Shift + Z

Read-Only Mode

When you switch to read-only mode:

  • Most toolbar buttons become disabled
  • You can still view and navigate the document
  • Comments remain accessible
  • Export functionality stays available

This is useful for reviewing documents without accidentally making changes.

Responsive Design

On smaller screens, the toolbar becomes scrollable horizontally. Swipe left or right to access all controls when working on mobile devices or narrow windows.

Put It Into Practice

The best way to learn the toolbar is to use it. Open the Cicero Editor and experiment with each feature as you create your next document.
